Two lighting systems for building shells

Experienced lighting specialists are not only competent in the application of the most modern LED technologies but also possess consulting know-how when it comes to the concept design phase.

A fundamental decision about the use of direct or indirect facade lighting is made at the beginning of the lighting planning phase based on the desired illumination effect.

Direct lighting

In the case of direct lighting, LED systems are mounted in front of or behind the facade so the light source is directly visible. For example, this type of illumination is implemented in contour lighting or large-surface advertisements. For the latter, horizontally or vertically installed light blades create an overall image that either covers the entire surface or illuminates through the facade from behind.

Indirect lighting

With this system, the light source illuminates facade surfaces, glass sheets, prefixed glass facades, fields or spaces. The observer sees the lit up and reflecting surfaces and not the illuminants directly.
